The Yunxi Mansion's design is a tribute to the Shuihui Garden, known for its water features that flow throughout the garden. The design team, led by Chief Designer Ji Liu, has incorporated cloud patterns into the paving, lamps, and column bases of the Yunxi Mansion. These patterns are reminiscent of the Song Dynasty and symbolize peace and happiness.
The design team has created five comfortable lifestyles through the establishment of five life scenes within the exhibition area. Walking through the garden feels like a journey back to the Song Dynasty, with the elegance of the Shuihui Garden being captured in a modern context. This design approach has resulted in a unique "literati garden" lifestyle.
The Yunxi Mansion's design also emphasizes sustainability. The plants used are primarily local species, and ecological permeable bricks are used extensively in the paving. These bricks, combined with underground water storage modules, form a water storage and reuse system. The design also includes a 60-meter long wind and rain corridor at the property entrance, providing a dignified and welcoming space for residents.
The design team faced several challenges during the project, including creating a front square that serves as a corner park for the future community. This space successfully blends nature and interest, with water features and fish adding a cheerful and bright flair. The square is designed to be a fun space for children and an interactive area for parents, reflecting the vision of life and aesthetics.
Yunxi Mansion was completed in 2021 in Nantong, China. The design project is a testament to Fealand's commitment to creating spaces that blend modern aesthetics with historical elegance. The Silver A' Design Award recognizes the outstanding expertise and innovation demonstrated in this project.
